Barclays announces grand winner of superfansunited campaign

Barclays Bank Tanzania under Absa Group Limited, one of Africa’s largest financial services providers,
yesterday announced the grand winner their English Premier League #superfansunited promotional campaign which ended on March 10.
The lucky winner, Catherine Arcene from the bank’s Mikocheni branch in Dar es Salaam, will enjoy a full paid trip to the UK to enjoy a true Clubhouse experience. She is expected to fly to the UK in the first week of May and is scheduled to spend a week there.
Other seven joint runners-up were also announced, who will have token package featuring being put up in one of the classic hotels in Dar es Salaam, watch live English Premier League in a superfans clubhouse replica in the city, cash prize of 300,000 each, a cap and a t-shirt of an EPL team of their like.
The seven winners, who will convene in Dar es Salaam on April 20 this year, are Mwanahamisi Salum, Majid Omary, , Sharifu Bashiru, Yuda Thadey, Frederick Edward all from Dar es Salaam, Suleiman Nassor from Zanzibar and Godfrey Mollel from Arusha.
The campaign was launched in November 2018 and has run for three months.
Addressing the press yesterday, the Head of Marketing and Corporate Relations, Mr Aron Luhanga, commented, “our lucky winner will travel to United Kingdom, spend time with an English Premier League legend, watch a live match on the English Premier League and have a total new experience for being part of a great #superfansunited campaign”.
He added: “We appeal to all other customers to join Barclays Bank and be part of a great bank. Our focus is to help customers achieve their ambitions in the right way’.
Head of Retail banking, Mr Oscar Mwamfwagasi, “This campaign was opened to all our customers who Bank with Barclays. A customer needed to make five transactions or more using their Barclays card, and get into the draw to stand a chance to win a fully paid trip to United Kingdom to experience the superfansunited live’,
He added that customers who switch to Barclays have multiple reasons to do so including but not
limited to their being attracted by the bank’s wide range of exciting products and exceptional services from friendly staff.
