Serikali yaipongeza First United Takaful kuchangia maendeleo ya sekta ya bima nchini

SERIKALI imeipongeza Kampuni ya Bima ya First United Takaful kwa kuanzisha huduma za kibima zitakazoweza kuchangia maendeleo ya uchumi wa Tanzania kwa ujumla pamoja na sekta ya fedha ya mwaka 2020 mpaka 2030 inayotoa dira kwa sekta ndogo ya bima sambamba na maelekezo ya Jamhuri ya Muungano wa Tanzania na ile ya Zanzibar.

Pongezi hizo zilitolewa na Waziri wa Nchi, Ofisi ya Rais, Fedha na Uchumi wa Zanzibar, Dk. Saada Mkuya wakati akizindua kampuni hiyo pamoja na huduma ya bima ya Takaful inayofuata misingi ya dini ya kiislamu jijini Dar es Salaam jana akisema uzinduzi huo unaunga mkono juhudi za Rais wa jamhuri wa Muungano wa Tanzania, Mama Samia Suluhu Hassan pamoja na Rais wa Zanzibar, Dk. Hussein Ali Mwinyi katika kukuza uchumi wa Taifa kupitia sekta ya bima.

Moja ya malengo ya kimkakati ya Mamlaka ya Usimamizi wa Bima Tanzania (TIRA) ni kuhakikisha tunakuwa na bidhaa mpya 10 hadi kufikia mwaka 2030, baadhi ya malengo ikiwa ni kuakikisha asilimia 90 ya watu wanapata bima ya afya ikiwa ni pamoja na kuwa na nia nane za kusambaza bima kwa bei nafuu."

Tuna pengo kubwa la watu kutokufahamu, nini maana ya bima, kutofikiwa ama kutojua nini faida ya bima, First United Takaful, mbali na malengo yenu, nataka muwe tunu ya kufikisha ujumbe kwa wananchi walio wengi kuona kuna umuhimu wa kuwa na bima hususan Takafula”, alisema Waziri Saada.

Aidha alisema Serikali zote mbili zimedhamiria kuendelea kuweka mazingira tulivu kwa ajili ya uwekezaji wa Takaful ambao una tija hivyo maendeleo na mageuzi katika sekta ya bima kutimia endapo sekta hiyo itapita katika ubunifu na matumizi ya kiteknolojia.

Tunaishukuru TIRA kwa kuchukua hatua hii ya kuruhusu huduma za bima inayofuata misingi ya kiislamu, ambayo ni muhimu kwa wateja wote waislamu na wasio waislamu, tuwashukuru sana sababu mmeshaweka msingi mzuri”, aliongeza mheshimiwa Waziri Saada.

Akizungumza katika hafla hiyo, Naibu Kamishna wa Bima, Bi. Khadija Issa Said aliipongeza kampuni ya First United Takaful kwa kuwa kampuni ya pili nchini kwa kupata leseni ya kutoa huduma za bima zinzzofuata misingi ya kiislamu ya Takaful.

Mamlaka ya Usimamizi wa Bima nchini itafanya kazi kwa karibu na wadau wote wa bima na kuweka mazngira wezesha katika soko la bima hususan Takaful ili huduma hizo ziweze kuleta tija kwa wananchi”, alisema Bi. Khadija.

Awali akizungumza katika hafla hiyo, Ofisa Mtendaji Mkuu wa First United Bwana Abdulnassir Ahmed Mohamed alisema bima imekuwa ni kiunganishi muhimu sana kwenye maisha ya kila siku, kisheria, kijamii na kiuchumi kwani ukiwa na bima inakupa utulivu wa nafsi na ulinzi binafsi na mali katika vipindi mbalimbali vya changamoto.

Pamoja na hayo yote, bado pamekuwepo na changamoto kwenye upatikanaji wa huduma ya bima inayokidhi mahitaji ya Imani zao za kiroho, hivyo bima ya Takaful yenye mazingatio ya Sharia za Imani ya kiislam, ambayo msingi wake ni kanuni za ushirikiano, uchangiaji wa majukumu kwa pamoja, ulinzi wa pamoja kwa washiriki, wachangiaji, na ushirika wa manufaa kwa pamoja pale ambavyo mmoja wa wachangiaji hupata changamoto bila ya kutegemea itaenda kuwa mkombozi kwa wale wenye uhitaji wa bima hiyo."

Zipo aina mbalimbali za bima ya Takaful tunazotoa kama vile bima ya maisha, mali, na bima ya kawaida, na kuhakikisha kuwa wateja wetu wanapata bima kamili kulingana na mahitaji yao maalum, tukiwekeza katika rasilimali muhimu ya wafanyakazi wataalamu katika kukuza maeneo ya ubunifu na yenye kuzingatia wateja”, alisema Bwana Mohamed.

Naye Mwenyekiti wa Bodi wa kampuni hiyo, Dk. Kassim Hussein alisema wakiwa kama waanzilishi katika tasnia hiyo kwa Tanzania Bara katika kutoa bidhaa mbalimbali za Takaful zinazowapa usalama na amani Waislamu na wasio waislamu, wakijikita zaidi katika kuleta masuluhisho katika kanuni za ushirikiano na msaada wa pande zote kwa uwazi, usawa, na kuepuka mambo ambayo yanapingana na imani za Kiislamu.

Ni muhimu kutambua kuwa Takaful sio tu bidhaa, inawakilisha mabadiliko makubwa katika tasnia ya bima, ni uthibitisho wa azma yetu ya kuhudumia wateja wetu mbalimbali kwa uaminifu na uelewano, tunasadiki kwa dhati kuwa bima inapaswa kuwa inapatikana kwa wote, bila kujali imani zao za kidini, na Takaful inatuwezesha kufikia hili bila kuhatarisha maadili ya kiadili."

Tunapoanza sura hii mpya ya Takaful, tunatambua jukumu kubwa lililo mbele yetu, tunaelewa kuwa lazima tuwe na ubunifu wa mara kwa mara, kubadilika, na kukabiliana na changamoto zitazotukabili, tuwahakikishie kuwa, tutaendelea kujitoa na kubaki kwenye viwango vya juu vya weledi, wajibu wa fidia, na kuridhika kwa wateja”, aliongeza Dk. Hussein.

Absa donates TZS 10m to Tanzania Women Lawyers Association (TAWLA) in support of gender-based violence victims labs

Absa Bank Tanzania has today donated TZS 10m to Tanzania Women Lawyers Association (TAWLA) to equip legal aid clinics in Dar es Salaam, Mwanza, Mbeya, Arusha, Tanga and Dodoma to provide free and quality legal aid services to women and children victim of gender-based violence.

Speaking at the handover occasion ih Dar es Salaam today, the Head of Marketing and Corporate Affairs, Mr. Aron Luhanga

said that, “Our passion for our communities is as strong as ever and our commitment to serve and protect them is unwavering. Therefore, we continue to invest in people’s wellbeing while ensuring we play a role in the society we exist in and serve."

Mr. Luhanga also added by saying that the GBV victims are of no difference from all other women and children but there is a special need for their legal support and a proper welfare support while at the legal aid clinics.

Legal aid clinics for these women and children is very key for us at Absa considering these children have a greater impact into our country tomorrow and it will raise the families hope in taking care of the children but also empower women to have a voice in their communities and the children to have something better to look unto everyday as they aim to achieve their dreams,” said Mr. Luhanga.

Absa maintains a strong relationship with organizations such as TAWLA with purpose of bringing change to the community and providing support to the ongoing efforts the government still plays in developing the country at all levels.

Mr. Luhanga concluded by saying that Absa is a key role player in advancing several sectors in the country some of them being health, education, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, environment, and social wellbeing. The bank ensures that every society investment is aligned with strengthening our relationship with the community, the organization we work with and the government.

Speaking at the event, the TAWLA’s Chief Executive Director, Ms. Tike Mwambipile, expressed gratitude to Absa Bank, stating that the assistance provided would help the organization reach communities in need of legal aid, especially women and children.

"This support from Absa Bank will also enable us to actively participate in Mama Samia's Legal Aid campaign, which focuses on providing legal assistance on issues related to gender-based violence, land disputes, inheritance, and human rights," said Ms. Tike.

Addressing some of the challenges they face, the Director mentioned the difficulty of reaching remote and rural areas, which are more affected by gender-based violence challenges, also highlighted that many legal professionals are concentrated in urban areas.

Tanzania Commercial Bank PLC (TCB) ambae ni Moja ya wadhamini wa mashindano ya ligi ya Mapinduzi Cup yanayofanyika visiwani Zanzibar kila mwaka Jumamosi iliyopita Benki hiyo ilikabidhi zawadi ya pesa kiasi cha shilingi milioni moja kwa golikipa bora wa ligi hiyo, Athuman Hassan kutoka klabu ya Mlandege FC. Makabidhiano ya zawadi hiyo yalifanyika muda mfupi baada ya kumalizika kwa mchezo wa fainali baina ya Mlandege FC na Simba SC uliofanyika katika Uwanja wa New Amani Visiwani Zanzibar ambapo mchezo ulikamilika kwa timu ya Mlandege kuibuka na ushindi wa Goli 1-0.

Akizungumza mara baada ya kukabidhi zawadi hiyo Mkurugenzi Mtendaji wa Tanzania Commercial Bank (TCB), Adam Mihayo amesema TCB itaendelea kutoa hamasa kwenye michezo mbalimbali hapa Nchini kwani michezo imekuwa ikiwakutanisha watu karibu pia michezo ni ajira.

“Zawadi hii tunazitoa kwa kuleta hamasa kwa wachezaji ili wafanye vizuri na kujitangaza kimataifa, pia kusaidia kuboresha mchezo huu mwanzo tu kwa Tanzania Commercial Bank kushiriki katika michezo wa soka hapa nchini” amesema Mihayo.

Tanzania Commercial Bank tumekuwa na utaratibu wa kujitolea sana katika jamii kwa kufauata misingi ya Benki yetu.  Tumeweza kusaidia sehemu mbalimbali Tanzania bara pamoja na visiwani katika sekta mbalimbali ikiwepo elimu, afya, michezo, biashara na kutoa elimu ya kifedha.

Hapa visiwani Zanzibar tumeshafanya mambo kadhaa ikiwepo kusaidia vikundi vya wanawake wajasiriamali kwa kuwapa vitendea kazi vikiwemo vyerehani na kuwawezesha vikundi vya kinamama wa Jimbo la Paje wanaolima zao la mwani kwa kuwajengea kisima Cha furahia ili kuwarahisishia shughuli zao za kilimo wa zao hilo ”
