Trust Bank Tanzania (DTB Tanzania), launched “Chakarika
Campaign”-a business accounton boarding sales drive. Chakarika,Swahili meaning go get it! Is the tag line for the
Campaign. Chakarika Campaign simply incentivizes
the entire business fraternity to sign on DTB Tanzania’s Current Accountproduct
offering.
Chakarika
Campaign aims at promoting Current Account services to small and medium
business enterprises currentlyusing savings accounts for business transactions.
DTB is offering Current Account at competitive pricing including opening
balance of only TZS 50,000 with a monthly ledger fee of just TZS 12,000.
Customers who open Current Account during the Chakarika Campaign period shall
automatically win “point of entry gifts”.
DTB
in 2017 achieved the status of the 5th largest bank in Tanzania ranked
on Customer Deposits. The Bank has gained sizeable market acceptance in the
past 9 years as it was 10th in term of Customer Deposits in 2007.
The branch network also increased during this period from 6 to 28 with 14
branches in Dar es Salaam.
The
Chakarika Campaign makes a special emphasis on placing the customer at the
center of all business efforts with quick and efficient responses to customers
from all walks of life. Speaking to the members of the press during the official
unveiling ceremony of Chakarika Campaign, the DTB Country Manager & CEO,
Mr. Viju Cherian, reiterated that “DTB’s phenomenal growth in Customer Deposits
in the past years is primarily due to the efficient banking services offered by
a well-trained and young team of banking professionals at the branches and support
offices. With an average work force age of 27 years, the Bank has invested in
providing intensive training and motivating individual employees to raise the
bar on personal performances. With real time quality checks, the Bank maintained
constantly high standards of customer experience which is clearly reflected in
the consistently growing Balance sheet”.
Mr.
Cherian said “The quick service culture and the less time spent on banking will
give the business customers more time to concentrate on their core business
productivity and hopefully quality and hopefully with friends and families.

backed up with alternative delivery channels of Internet Banking, Mobile

Mbezi Chini and Mlimani city. Others are two branches in Arusha and Mwanza and
one each in Dodoma, Kahama, Mbeya, Morogoro, Moshi, Mtwara, Mwanza, Tabora,
Tanga and Zanzibar.
