Dar es Salaam, Tanzania – OYA Microcredit Tanzania, a company dedicated to providing accessible loans, has announced that within just a few years of its operations in the country, it has successfully empowered thousands of Tanzanians by offering simple, collateral-free credit facilities that have boosted household incomes and improved livelihoods.
Speaking upon his arrival in Tanzania, Mr. Richard Nii Armah Quaye, President of RNAQ Companies and a leading African entrepreneur who owns the microcredit firm OYA, emphasized the company’s commitment to financial inclusion. He highlighted that thousands of Tanzanians have already benefited from OYA’s easy and flexible loan services and pledged to continue expanding support for local communities. He further noted that OYA has created numerous employment opportunities for Tanzanian youth, both in Dar es Salaam and across the regions.
Adding his voice, Dr. Kobbina Tuyee Auwah, Group Chairman and co-investor in OYA, reaffirmed their commitment to Tanzania, describing it as “home.” He expressed pride in continuing to invest in the country and improving the lives of Tanzanians, noting the long-standing friendship between Ghana and Tanzania dating back to the historic ties of the late Founding Fathers, Mwalimu Julius Kambarage Nyerere of Tanzania and Kwame Nkrumah of Ghana.
Commenting on the investment climate, Mr. Nicholas Nii Armah Van-Aryee, Group Director responsible for business relations and investments at RNAQ, praised Tanzania as a safe and attractive destination for investment. He commended the country’s stable political environment, which continues to encourage and protect both local and foreign investors.
Meanwhile, Mr. Alpha Peter, Director of OYA Microcredit Tanzania, reiterated the company’s commitment to empowering entrepreneurs and small business owners with access to capital that will help them grow their businesses and improve their livelihoods. He noted that OYA is already providing loan services across several regions, including Dar es Salaam, Pwani, Morogoro, Mwanza, Geita, Mara, Shinyanga, Kahama, Tabora, Mbeya, and Songwe.
