SULLIVAN PROVOST BOYS’ SECONDARY SCHOOL
GIVEAWAY DAY TO THE NEEDY
22ND JUNE EVERY YEAR
Background
In December 2019, our School Manager, the Late Eng. Eric Samwel Mkami initiated the program of having a ‘GIVEAWAY DAY’ for our school. The motive behind this program was to induce a giving culture to our students because he believed that when you give with love, you receive abundant blessings from GOD (2Corinthians 9:6-9).
His plan was to make students visit at least one orphanage centre or one hospital and/or Prison every year and give the needy ones some presents collected from themselves including Sports items, School Bags, Exercise books, clothes and shoes which they no longer use (but are still in good order), food and any valuable materials such as soaps, toothpaste, body lotion etc. This culture will make the students appreciate the fact that they are indeed privileged to have parents and/or guardians who have sacrificed their income and took them to Sullivan Provost Boys’ Secondary School where they are receiving quality education with good food on their tables, good shelter and good care.
Why ‘Giveaway Day’ on 22nd June Every year?
This is to make a dream come true of our very dear Son, Brother and Friend, Eng. Eric Samwel Mkami who passed away on 22nd June 2020 leaving behind this unfinished exercise to be progressed in his spiritual presence.

All Sullivan Provost Boys’ Secondary School Stakeholders: Friends to Eric Samwel Mkami, Students, Teachers, Relatives, Neighbours and any good wishers to our School.
