Mwanza, Tanzania just a few months after a successful workshop held in
Dar es Salaam with over 200 business executives in attendance. The
KCB Biashara Club is an initiative by the bank that looks to sharpen
skills on financial management, deliver knowledge on tax compliance as
well as provide networking opportunities for businesses in the SME
sector.
Launched in 2017, KCB Biashara Club has continued to show
commitment to developing the SME sector by providing businesses with
banking and enterprise development services as well as passing on
knowledge in key business management aspects.
The seminar held at the Gold Crest Hotel in Mwanza brought together
over 200 business people from different industries all facing challenges
such as a slow growth rate in business capital, competition and lack of
knowledge on matters of tax compliance among others. KCB Bank
Tanzania main objective is to provide business people with the necessary
skills that will enable them to counter the different challenges.
Speaking at the event, KCB Bank, Mwanza Branch Manager Mr.
Emmanuel Mzava thanked the attending business executives and
reaffirmed that the bank will in the future hold similar workshops in
Mwanza as the bustling city continues to prove that it is an enticing
center for business growth and development.
Mr. Swetbert Thomas a Tax Consultant guru brought in by KCB Bank
Tanzania was the main facilitator for the seminar. He urged the
attending Biashara Club members on the importance of understanding
the country’s tax regulations and the direct impact these tax regulations.
Besides benefiting from the lessons offered in the seminar, members of
Biashara Club also gain from new business connections with other
members of the club that will not only help them develop their business
skills but also broaden their business goals. KCB Bank Tanzania

economy but also realise that this cannot be achieved if the SMEs do not
have the right skills in developing and managing their businesses.
