Absa Bank Tanzania today hosted a vibrant press conference at Absa House, celebrating the second month winners of the ongoing Play Your Cards Right campaign. A total of TZS 18 million was awarded to three monthly winners, along with an additional TZS 3 million distributed among the Week 8 winners.
During the event, the three-monthly winners were announced and celebrated: Dr Fauz Twalib received TZS 10 million, Xuan Liu received TZS 5 million, and Joseph Constantine Mafuru received TZS 3 million. Additionally, the six weekly winners for Week 8, each awarded TZS 500,000, were officially recognized and celebrated. The weekly winners are Anita Peter Mselle, Michael Marshall Pemba, Mr. Idris Aziz Almamad Mazar, Shamma Kurban Hussein Dhirani, Christel Abdiel Ulomi, and Gheorghe Alexandru.
Reflecting on the journey of the campaign, Ms. Ndabu Swere, Director of Retail Banking, stated: “We are delighted with how Play Your Cards Right has resonated with our customers. It's encouraging to see so many embracing digital and card transactions, which are not only convenient but also enhance financial inclusion and safety. We sincerely thank our customers for their loyalty and participation.”

In a heartwarming highlight, Mr. Felician Hechei, the winner of the previously announced luxury trip to the South Africa Champagne Festival, shared his experience. “The trip was truly exceptional. From the business class flights to the five-star hospitality, Absa took care of everything. The Champagne Festival itself was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and I encourage everyone to participate in future Absa campaigns.”
The Play Your Cards Right campaign continues until the end of December 2025, culminating in a grand prize draw in January 2026 where one lucky customer will win TZS 30 million. “It’s going to be a fantastic start to 2026 for our winners,” Mr. Mkuyu
noted.
